SITE AIMS AND FUTURE PLANS

Bob the Alien's Tour of the Solar System aims to make the study of Space and Astronomy accessible to anybody that has an interest in the subject or is visiting the site for information required for research of the topic. Although the site was originally designed for younger space explorers, it is now designed with a more general audience in mind.

The site aims to be:

  • Easy to understand and browse
  • Entertaining and informative
  • Not patronising or over-complex
  • Accessible to all visitors, regardless of location, computer, operating system, browser or browser settings
  • Responsive to the requirements of its visitors

Current development of the website involves expanding on some of the sections not directly related to the planets themselves (such as the Space Exploration and Astronomy sections), adding useful reference resources such as the Space A-Z and an On This Day in Space section and increasing interactivity and visitor input (eg, Ask an Alien!). In the future, each page for each of the destinations of the Solar Systems will be fully reviewed and updated with the addition of new graphics and diagrams. Bob the Alien's Tour of the Solar System is also looking into ways of integrating the site with popular social networking sites.
